In this quotation and during any contract between the customer and us any statements made by us as to the time and date of delivery of materials or of waste are to be treated as an estimate based on the current conditions. Although we make every reasonable effort to deliver and collect promptly we are not liable for any costs incurred through a delay in our services.
We are not liable for any damage or accidents incurred whilst delivering or collecting any materials or skips situated off a public road.
The customer shall ensure that the area for the skip or materials to be placed will be clear of any obstacles and in a safe environment so that each vehicle used by us to deliver materials or collect waste will be unloaded (or as the case may be) loaded within ten minutes. If our vehicle is detained for longer than ten minutes for each such operation we reserve the right to make a reasonable extra charge.
When the waste skips are ready for collection it is the customers’ duty to ensure that it is not over level load (this applies to all skips with and without doors). If the skip is overloaded we reserve the right to make a reasonable extra charge and/or remove the excess waste.
If the customer has placed an order with us and they wish to cancel the said order before or after delivery or even whilst dispatching we reserve the right to charge the customer up to 40% of the cost of purchase. This is a minimum charge of £50 per purchase.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed with us in writing, our prices for the supply of materials and collection of waste are based on our cost (including the cost of conforming to obligations imposed by state government order) at the date when such prices were quoted or otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to make a proportionate increase in our prices should there be any increase in these or any other third party costs.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing our prices only cover working, delivery and collection on our normal working days and during our normal working hours. If any working delivery or collection, should at the customer’s request, be outside our normal working hours we reserve the right to make a reasonable extra charge.
We reserve the right to suspend deliveries or collections if the arrangements for payment or the customers’ credit are not satisfactory to us.
If the customer requires a skip on a public highway they are solely responsible for arranging any and all permits from the council. It is also their responsibility to make sure any lights, cones or any other council requirements are met at all times.
It is the customers’ responsibility to make sure the skip is removed before the expiry of any council permits.
Each skip can be loaded with the following items: general waste – heavy and bulky, dry non-hazardous waste, construction and demolition waste, window frames and wood waste, garden waste.
Each skip cannot be loaded with the following items asbestos, fridges, mattresses, gas bottles (anything containing gas), dry hazardous waste and any type of hazardous waste.
In no circumstances must any fire be lit in or around the skip, the customer will be liable for any fire damage caused.
The skip must be returned undamaged and in the same condition as when delivered.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing the skip is hired out to the customer for a maximum of four weeks. It is the customers’ responsibility to arrange for the skip to be collected within this time, if collection is not arranged within this time we reserve the right to make a reasonable extra charge.
